Contra Costa Seeks Nominees for Drug & Alcohol Prevention Awards

WHAT
Contra Costa County’s Alcohol and Other Drugs Advisory Board seeks nominees for its annual “People Who Make a Difference” awards, given to those who contribute significantly to combatting drug and alcohol abuse in the county.
WHO:
Anyone can nominate a volunteer or non-volunteer, or an organization, which tackled a drug- or alcohol-related problem and initiated effective change in their community, above and beyond expectations. There are specific awards for youth leadership and youth organizations.
WHEN:
The nomination deadline is Tuesday, May 20 at 5 p.m. Award recipients will be recognized at the June 24 Board of Supervisors meeting.
WHY:
The AOD Board wishes to acknowledge individuals and organizations that have helped raise awareness of drug and alcohol abuse in the community.
