Contra Costa help for the homeless event seeks volunteers

Monday, April 16

What:

Contra Costa Health Services needs volunteers for a one-day event in June that provides hundreds of people with services to help end their homelessness. Project Homeless Connect 8 connects people experiencing homelessness with food, medical and dental care, substance abuse programs, shelters and job assistance, among other things. The success of the annual event largely depends on volunteers, who are needed to help set up, greet and direct people, distribute goods and foods, assist service providers and provide general assistance at the event. Contra Costa Health Services and the City of Concord are sponsoring this years' event.
