What:

Free H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccine and other immunizations will be available for children at a special clinic hosted by Contra Costa Health Services on March 26 in Richmond. Tetanus, H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccine will also be available at no cost to adults. Izzy the Bear will be available to take photos with children as part of the statewide "I Choose" campaign to promote childhood immunizations.

Who:

Vaccinations will be given free to anyone 18 years and younger. Adults can receive free tetanus, H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccine.

When & Where:

9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, March 26
Richmond Health Center, first floor
39th Street and Bissell Avenue, Richmond

How:

Everyone is welcome at these clinics. Vaccinations will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parents should bring a copy of each child's immunization record if possible.

Why:

Contra Costa Immunization Program and Women, Infant and Children Program are partnering to get infants, toddlers and parents immunized. This clinic is a great way for families to provide their children with the necessary vaccines. There currently are vaccines to protect against many serious diseases, such as the measles, whooping cough, causes of pneumonia and others.
