Seeking Public Comments on Priorities for Federal AIDS Funds in Contra Costa County
June 12, 2007
What
The public is invited to a public forum to provide comments, concerns and ideas on how federal funds should be spent in Contra Costa County for services to people living with HIV/AIDS. Written comments may also be submitted. All comments will be reviewed in the annual priority setting and funding allocation process. This is an opportunity for the community to share ideas about how best to deliver services to support access to care.
Who
The Contra Costa HIV/AIDS Consortium is soliciting community comments. The Consortium is a local planning body that includes HIV/AIDS service providers, HIV prevention providers, people living with HIV/AIDS, Contra Costa Health Services Department, and other concerned community members.
When
There are two ways to give public comment:
Written comments may be sent to the Consortium by fax 925-313-6798, by email to Pamela Anderson-Moore, or by mail to HIV/AIDS Consortium, AIDS Program 597 Center Avenue, Suite 200, Martinez, CA 94553.
Verbal comments will be heard during the Consortium meeting on Monday, July 9, 2007, at 9:30 a.m. The Consortium meeting will be held at JFK University 100 Ellinwood Way, Room 104, in Pleasant Hill, CA.
Why
The Consortium will review public comments along with other information to finalize recommendations that will be forwarded to the Contra Costa County AIDS Program regarding priorities for the Ryan White CARE Act funding for the new program year that begins in March 2008.
