Safety audits of the Shell and Tesoro refineries and the Air Products hydrogen plants at both refineries will be available for review and comment.

Where
Shell Martinez Clubhouse, on Pacheco Boulevard at Arreba Street in Martinez
Who
Speakers at the event will include Tom McKnight, the fire chief at Shell, Martinez Police Chief Dave Cutaia and Ana-Marie Jones of CARD (Collaborating Agencies Responding to Disasters). Two of the information tables will be staffed by the Hazardous Materials Program and Health Emergency Response Unit of Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS), the county health department.
Why
"In a disaster or health emergency, people will likely need to care for themselves and their families without much help from government for the first three days or so," said Randy Sawyer, Director of Hazardous Materials Programs for CCHS. "There will be plenty of information and supplies at this event to include in a household emergency kit."
