Flu shots - 2006

What

Contra Costa Health Services is offering flu vaccine to seniors, high risk persons and the general public, 9 years of age and older. (Flu shots will not be given to children under 9 years of age at these clinics.)

Fee for flu shots is $10, although no one will be denied if they are unable to pay. Persons 65 years of age and over with Medicare Part B, should take their Medicare card. Qualifying individuals will receive the shot free of charge.

Pneumonia and Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis immunizations will also be available. Fee for Pneumonia is $50.00, for Td (Tetanus/Diphtheria) $20.00 and for Tdap (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) $20.00.

Flu shot is not given to people with current fevers, infections or allergies to eggs.
