Demonstration of Violence Prevention Theatre Program on April 21

What:

A demonstration of "Peace Signs," an Educational Theatre Program sponsored by Kaiser Permanente to address violence prevention by teaching students how to resolve conflicts without violence. The program targets students in grades 3 - 6.

When:

The presentation will take place between 9 a.m. and noon on Thursday, April 21. Registration begins at 8:30.

Where:

The presentation will be at Hope Center, 2275 Morello Ave. near Taylor Boulevard, Pleasant Hill. Parking is free. This is a new location, as the presentation had previously been scheduled elsewhere.

Who:

The demonstration is presented by the Violence Prevention Coalition of Contra Costa County in collaboration with Holbrook Elementary School. The event provides an opportunity for people to join the Coalition's Workgroup. Funding and support is provided by the Child Abuse Prevention Council of Contra Costa County, Contra Costa Health Services' Community Wellness & Prevention Program and Contra Costa County's Zero Tolerance for Domestic Violence Initiative.
