Richmond Mobile HIV testing clinic moves to new site Dec. 1

What
The Contra Costa Health Services Mobile HIV Counseling and Testing Services clinic in Richmond will have a new location in the city starting December 1. The mobile clinics often use rapid testing technology and can give patients HIV test results in about 20-30 minutes.
When & Where
The clinic operated at 4th Street and MacDonald Avenue in Richmond will move several blocks to a new location at 12th Street and MacDonald Avenue. Clinic hours will be 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. the second and fourth Thursdays of the month. Clinics also are available at the following locations and times.

Who
There is no charge for the HIV counseling and testing, though donations are accepted. The mobile clinic service is intended for people who are at high risk for HIV infection, including active substance abusers, partners of someone who is HIV positive, men who have sex with other men, sex workers, those who have never been tested, and those who do not know the status of their partners.
Appointments are not necessary. Patients are seen on a first come, first served basis and clinic registration is held during the first hour of each clinic until full.
