North Richmond Celebrates Multicultural Children and Family Day on June 21

What:

North Richmond celebrates the richness and diversity of its residents' cultures by holding a "Multicultural Children and Family Day," free and open to the public

The event features not just cultural performances but also activities, displays, information and free services related to helping North Richmond residents be healthy. There will be free immunizations for children; parents should bring their children's immunization cards. Free first aid kits will also be available

Other free activities include a jumper for children, face painting, ice cream stand, wood craft, raffle prizes and free food

When:

Saturday, June 21, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Where:

Parking lot between Center for Health (1501 Third Street) and the Family Service Center, North Richmond

Who:

Participating providers include Contra Costa Health Services' Health on Wheels, Contra Costa Health Plan, On the Move With FoodWise Project, WIC, Children Service Commission, Project REAL, Mobile Library, Las Deltas Day Care, Child Care Development Agency, Verde School Garden, End Time Harvest Ministries, PHTB, Familias Unidas, Lao, Latino and African American communities, Center for Health and Family Service Center

Sponsors include Partners for Health, West County Collaborative for Public Health, Chevron Richmond Refinery, Neighborhood House, CHDC and the Healthy Neighborhoods Project of Contra Costa Health Services
